Nabakindo All-Natural Skincare is a family-owned, skincare company specializing in handmade, plant-based products for all skin types. Nabakindo, pronounced (nah-bah-kin-doh), is a blended word comprised of the two words, Nakindo and Bakindo. Originating from the Azande tribe of South Sudan, Nakindo is a title given to queens or the female monarch of an empire. Similarly, Bakindo means “king” or male supreme ruler. Together these words illustrate the essence of who we strive to be – a premier, family-focused brand committed to enhancing the array of melanin-kissed complexions of our kings, queens, and heirs.

Nabakindo is unique in that we offer premium, anhydrous (water-free) products containing botanically pure (plant-based) ingredients. Our anhydrous formulas serve to effectively treat and moisturize, tone and tighten, and reduce dryness and irritation of the skin due to the absence of harsh chemicals and preservatives.

Through research and usage of several popular products, we learned that many skincare manufacturers commonly use water as a primary additive. Because water promotes the growth of microorganisms, those who use it in their formulas must add preservatives to increase their product shelf life. As a result, these products are more diluted and tend to dry out the skin while stripping away the natural oils our melanin needs to thrive.

At Nabakindo, we promote the practice of anhydrous skincare to highlight the ultimate luxury experience of our products. Without the use of watered-down formulas, we provide you with a richer, more naturally concentrated product, which means a little goes a long way. The Nabakindo experience aims to keep your skin moisturized well beyond application using minimal ingredients for maximum effectiveness.

Nabakindo was established in 2020 when husband and wife duo, Philip and Vania, recognized the need for an effective treatment of their daughter’s sensitive, eczema prone skin. After experimenting with several commercial brands to no avail, Philip and Vania decided that a change was needed.
